Call to Action

Following the Anniversary of the #WomensWave Global March, Women’s March Global is launching a five-month campaign to end/fight gender-based violence. The “5 Actions to #EndGBV” campaign provides actionable ways to move the theme of the anniversary i.e, End Violence Against Women, forward. The campaign allows people to engage in the conversation and policy around violence against women through monthly actions.

THIS CAMPAIGN IS MORE CRITICAL THAN EVER.

  • 1 in 3 women experience violence in their lifetime.
  • 369 documented homicides of transgender and gender-diverse people worldwide in 2018. We know the true number is much higher.
  • And lastly, in South Africa, 2390 women were murdered in 2018.

The statistics are staggering. We have shared the stories, we have said #MeToo, we continue to speak out – It is now time to act.

These five actions will not only allow women and allies worldwide to participate in the conversation to #EndGBV but also, create a safe space for women and help in breaking the silence around gender-based violence.

Women’s March Global along with our campaign partners ask you to join us in this campaign to end gender-based violence and to help change the narrative around it.
